The David Bradley inshore lifeboat was launched at 3.32pm and arrived on scene at 3.39pm, where an RNLI all-weather lifeboat was standing by to offer assistance if needed.

Crewman Rob Merrix transferred to the motorboat to check the severity of the water ingress. A thorough investigation concluded that the best course of action was to escort the vessel to Haven Quay for an emergency lift-out. The motorboat was lifted out of the water and on to the dry dock to undergo repairs.

Lymington Lifeboat was back on service at 4.55pm.

Crew: Greg Pachany (helm), Phil Baker, Rob Merrix, and Ted Ward
