Honey and the Bear to play fundraising gig for Aldeburgh RNLI
On 15 June, local folk sensation, Honey and the Bear, will play a concert at Aldeburgh RNLI boathouse as part of the celebrations for the 200th anniversary.
Freddie Cooper has had many notable launches including the rescue, in August 1996, of three people from the yacht Red House Lugger which was in difficulty 30 miles east of Aldeburgh in rough seas, an estimated 20 foot swell and storm force winds. A Bronze Medal was awarded to Coxswain/Mechanic Ian Firman for this launch.
