Honey and the Bear will play their charity gig at Aldeburgh RNLI boathouse
The fun starts at 5pm, with a delicious barbecue offered by local craft butchers Salter and King, or guests are welcome to bring a picnic. The Mill Inn will be offering a licensed take away bar.

Honey and the Bear* will play from 6pm in the doorway to the boathouse with the audience on the beach enjoying the music.

The Aldeburgh RNLI fundraising Guild and volunteers from the lifeboat crew will be around to take donations from the listening crowd. Suggested donation is £10 per person.

Draw tickets will be available for £10. Prizes include a weekend pass for two people for Folk East (16-18 August 2024); a voucher for a Seasonal Tour and Tasting for four people at Fisher's Gin; dinner for two people at The Suffolk; Jubilee Hall tickets for two people to an event of the winner’s choice; a voucher at O&C Butcher; and a case of Adnam's Ghost Ship.

Honey and the Bear, multi-instrumentalist pair, Jon and Lucy Hart, will be joined on-stage by their band guests Evan Carson and Toby Shaer.

In 2021, Honey and the Bear released their song, Freddie Cooper, named for the Aldeburgh RNLI all-weather Mersey class lifeboat, which was delivered in November 1993.

Freddie Cooper has had many notable launches including the rescue, in August 1996, of three people from the yacht Red House Lugger which was in difficulty 30 miles east of Aldeburgh in rough seas, an estimated 20 foot swell and storm force winds. A Bronze Medal was awarded to Coxswain/Mechanic Ian Firman for this launch.
