On Sunday 26 May, a lone sailor aboard a 23 foot Lymington-based craft sought assistance near a sand bank just east of Ryde Pier.

The volunteer crew on board the Sheena Louise, Cowes RNLI's B class inshore lifeboat, eventually towed the boat to a pontoon in Wootton Creek, and returned to the lifeboat station just before 8 pm.
