In the RNLI’s 200th anniversary year, BBC Saving Lives at Sea is back for a ninth series, with a special episode presented by Dermot O’Leary. You’ll hear incredible stories of courage from throughout the RNLI’s lifesaving history. From the lifeboat crews who bravely launched in the World Wars, despite the threat of enemy bombs, to the volunteers of today, who drop everything to save the lives of people who might be just seconds away from drowning.

How can I watch Saving Lives at Sea?

You can watch the new series (series 9) of Saving Lives At Sea when it comes out on BBC Two or on BBC iPlayer. The first episode will air on Tuesday 12 March at 9pm. Following that, each episode will air on Tuesdays at 8pm. You may also be able to watch episodes you missed and some episodes from previous series of the show on BBC iPlayer. You need to be a TV licence holder and watching in the UK to access BBC iPlayer.
