Be a heritage and museum volunteer

RNLI/Adrian Don

Fuel your passion for history and help keep our stories of courage and innovation alive.

If you’re just as passionate about our lifesaving history as we are, join us as a heritage volunteer.

We celebrate our history through our archive and historic collections based at our Support Centre in Poole, Dorset, and at our six museums.

Why become a heritage and museum volunteer?

  1. As a heritage volunteer, you’ll help to protect and preserve our rich heritage so that our story can be told for years to come.
  2. Through telling our story, you’ll be keeping our stories of courage and innovation alive, inspiring supporters from all generations.
  3. Join an inclusive and diverse organisation.
  4. Have fun, meet new people and join a motivated and enthusiastic team who are making a difference.
  5. Learn new skills and gain experience to enhance your CV.
  6. Gain the satisfaction of giving back.
