Promote the RNLI

RNLI/Nathan Williams

Use your passion for the RNLI to promote our lifesaving work and inspire new supporters.

Do you enjoy speaking with the public, have the gift of the gab and a passion for our lifesaving work?

Why volunteer to promote the RNLI?

  1. Spreading the word about we do is crucial to raising water safety awareness, inspiring new supporters and ultimately saving lives at sea.
  2. RNLI visits volunteers can make a real difference in ensuring that people arrive as visitors and leave as supporters.
  3. Have fun, meet new people and join a motivated and enthusiastic team who are making a difference.
  4. Learn new skills and gain experience to enhance your CV.
  5. Gain the satisfaction of giving back.

What roles can you do?

You’ll encourage local schools, youth and adult organisations to visit the lifeboat station where you will deliver messages about the RNLI and staying safe near water. You’ll also find and support a team of volunteers to help with presentations.

Lifeboat visits team member

You’ll give inspiring guided tours of the lifeboat station to visitors including groups of young people and adults.

Community presenter

You’ll talk about our lifesaving work at yacht clubs, business groups, rotary clubs and other organisations where you will be in a great position to inspire others to get involved in supporting the RNLI.
