Our lifeboat stations
Our 24-hour search and rescue service operates from 238 lifeboat stations around the UK and Ireland.
Lifeboat stations are not just a place to store and maintain our lifesaving craft. They are a place to train vital lifesaving skills. A hub for the local community to come together towards a shared goal of keeping the waters around them safe. And they are also often the first point of refuge a casualty is taken to after being rescued.
Built in all shapes and sizes, and placed in locations both central and remote. They help the RNLI to create a ring of safety around the coasts of the UK and Ireland. Building and maintaining our lifeboat station is an important part of our lifesaving work. And it’s all only possible thanks to donations from supporters like you.
