Conwy's station history

1966

Inshore Lifeboat Station established in June with the placing on service of a D class lifeboat D-97.

1970

The Thanks of the Institution inscribed on Vellum accorded to Messrs Brian Jones, Ronald Craven and Trevor Jones for the rescue of two men from the cabin cruiser Fulmar which had broken down one mile west of West Shore, Llandudno on the afternoon of 30 August.

1971

A new D class ILB D-205 was placed on station, D-97 transferred to the relief fleet.

1976

A new D class ILB D-239 was placed on station, D-205 transferred to the relief fleet.

1987

A new D class ILB D-346 was placed on station, D-239 transferred to the relief fleet.

1995

New D class lifeboat D-482 Arthur Bate was placed on service on 21 June, D-346 to be utilised as a boarding boat.

2004

The new class of lifeboat  IB1, D-627 Arthur Bate II was placed on service on Wednesday 18 August.   D425 has been withdrawn.

2014

The new station Atlantic 75 lifeboat  D-765 The May-Bob was placed on service on 19 March 2014. This lifeboat was provided by the generous bequests of Miss Mavis Kane and her father Mr Robert Kane. Lifeboat D-627 Arthur Bate II has been withdrawn.
