Falmouth Lifeboat Station

The current boathouse was opened in 1994 and houses the B class Atlantic 85 inshore lifeboat Robina Nixon Chard. The station is the busiest in Cornwall and also operates a Severn class all-weather lifeboat Richard Cox Scott.

Station visits

We have restarted visits for the public again. We can take you aboard our Severn class AWB and in the wheel house, show you round our Atlantic 85, and see all the crew kit ready for a "Shout".

Visits can now be prearranged for groups of 1 to 32 by emailing [email protected].

The station is at 24 hour readiness and operational necessity is our priority so tours may have to be altered at the last minute.
If you have mobility issues we will do our best to show you as much as you think you can manage, as there are steps and sloping gangways to parts of the station.
We look forward to seeing you.

Falmouth RNLI Shop

The shop has closed so that we can build better crew changing facilities at the lifeboat station. We hope to open a new RNLI shop in Falmouth in 2023.
