D class lifeboat sent to station for evaluation.
1999
Atlantic 21 class lifeboat B525 Spix’s Macaw was placed on temporary station duty on 12 March.
Atlantic 75 class lifeboat B512 US Navy League was placed on station on 26 October.
2002
Atlantic 75 class lifeboat B781 Eisinore was placed on station on 2 February.
A new Inshore lifeboat station was established at Sligo Bay, which is situated between Bundoran and Ballyglass, in 1998.
