Conwy and Llandudno RNLI Lifeboats assist a 38-foot yacht aground.
Conwy RNLI inshore lifeboat was requested to launch at 3:55pm by UK Coastguard, to reports of a 38ft yacht that had ran aground.
The volunteer crew pagers were sounded and the RNLI lifeboat, The May-Bob launched with her three-volunteer crew.
After arriving on scene, the lifeboat did an assessment and the yacht was aground and not going anywhere until the next high tide.
The lifeboat safely took the casualties ashore, whilst the skipper waited for their boat to refloat on the sandbank.
Later at 8:30pm in a joint operation, Llandudno’s all-weather lifeboat William F Yates launched to assist Conwy in bringing within the safe confines of Conwy Harbour.
Following this service call, both lifeboats returned to their respective stations and were recovered, washed down and made ready for the next request
Call 999 in an emergency and ask for the Coastguard.
