Llandudno RNLI receive donation that will strengthen capabilities
Yacht management services provider Hill Robinson donates an anemometer to Llandudno RNLI Lifeboat Station.
Hill Robinson, a renowned yacht management services provider with a global presence and an office in Conwy, has recently shown their commitment to safety by generously donating an anemometer to the weather station atop Llandudno RNLI Lifeboat Station.
An anemometer is a measuring device that will enable the crew to accurately assess wind direction and speed before embarking on service calls and exercises. It will assist the launch authorities in making informed decisions regarding boat selection and will help coxswains and helms plan and execute operations effectively.
The donation not only enhances the crews’ ability to make more informed decisions in critical moments, but it also reflects Hill Robinson's dedication towards supporting maritime rescue operations.
Luke Heritage, Llandudno RNLI Station Mechanic and Crew Member, said:
‘We are very grateful to Hill Robinson for this kind donation of an anemometer. This measuring device will enable us to be even more precise about what asset we should be launching and when, and the plan for the rescue operation.
‘Our volunteer lifeboat crew give up their time to serve the community and it’s wonderful to see the community and businesses supporting our cause and helping us save lives at sea.’
