At 7.51am on Tuesday 4 August 2020, Belfast Coastguard requested the launch of the stations inshore lifeboat to assist with a search for a missing person near Saltcoats.

This was the second shout for Berwick this week to people reported in the water.

Lyme Regis lifeboat launched on Tuesday 4 August to a former lifeboat that was drifting with engine problems.

Carrybridge RNLI were tasked at 5.25pm to a 35ft cruiser with 2 people on board, run aground half a mile from Knockninny Public Jetty. Lifeboat and RWC refloated the casualty vessel and escorted it - under its own power - to Knockninny Public Jetty.

RNLI Volunteers were paged by the HM Coastguard at 2.40pm on 8th August as a report had come in of a person on a small RIB just off of Denny Island, Portishead, with a suspected broken leg.

Advice given by the RNLI to a new speedboat owner in Cleethorpes was vitally important when his boat broke down 3 weeks later and he needed the services of the lifeboat.

Newquay’s RNLI’s Atlantic lifeboat launched at 4.05pm on Sunday 8 July to assist with a lady who was complaining of chest pain.

Wells inshore lifeboat was paged at 6:15 pm by Humber Coastguard who had received a 999 call from a member of a group of sailors reporting a capsized dinghy in the seaway to the west of Gun Hill in the approaches to Burnham Overy harbour, the exact location of the crew being unknown at this time.

Two children were brought safely to shore by Penarth lifeboat volunteers on Sunday 25th June 2017.
