Your Launch a Memory Exmouth updates
Leave a dedication
Many people have shared heartwarming stories about why they chose to include the name of someone they miss on the Exmouth Launch a Memory lifeboat – as well as celebrating their or their loved one’s connection to the RNLI.
To help share your stories, or to pay tribute to your loved one, we’ve created an Exmouth Launch a Memory web page with our partner MuchLoved. It’s a very special community filled with supporters like you. You can use it to honour the person you miss in the most fitting way for you and your family.
Guidance on station visits and contact
As Exmouth is a working lifeboat station, we kindly ask that you don’t contact the station directly or turn up hoping to see the lifeboat.
If you have any queries about Launch a Memory, please read our FAQs, or email [email protected] or call our Supporter Experience Team on 0300 300 9905.
Any opportunities to see the lifeboat in the future will be communicated to supporters via email, and this updates page.
Seeing your lifeboat
We'd love to welcome every supporter to see your lifeboat, either at the All-weather Lifeboat Centre in Poole or on station at Exmouth. For fairness, Poole tickets are limited to two per supporter, and on a first come, first served basis. If you gave us your email address when sharing your loved one's name, we will let you know about any events.
The Exmouth Shannon is an operational lifeboat and we'll keep you updated with news along the way. If you have any questions about the lifeboat, Exmouth Lifeboat Station or Launch a Memory, please contact us by emailing [email protected].
Explore a Shannon class lifeboat, just like Exmouth's
Have you ever wanted to get up close and personal with the newest lifeboat in the RNLI's fleet? Well now's your chance. On this virtual tour, you can explore the engine room, wander around the wheelhouse and even travel to the upper deck to take the wheel, and guide your crew from the lookout.
