RNLI Golf Days Resources
Your guide to planning an RNLI Golf Day. Find everything you need to make your fundraiser a success on and off the fairway.
What is an RNLI Golf Day?
A Golf Day is a way of raising vital lifesaving funds through your love of the sport of golf. Get together a group of your golf-loving friends or organise an event at your local golf club and host a fundraiser for the RNLI.
It could be a competition such as a hole-in-one contest, longest-drive competition, or a beat-the-club-pro challenge. It could be a round of golf in RNLI-themed fancy dress – yellow wellies look great on the green! Or it could simply be a cake sale, barbecue or fundraiser at your local club.
There are lots of ideas you can do to make your Golf Day a success. The only limit is your imagination. Whether you are a regular on the fairways or an enthusiastic amateur, you’ll find everything you need to successfully host a Golf Day on this page.
The RNLI relies on the kindness of our supporters to fund our lifesaving work. By raising money with a Golf Day, you’ll be helping to launch lifeboats, train lifeguards, and prevent drowning.
Event planning essentials

Tailored materials at your fingertips
On the MyStore site, you'll find customisable materials you can order to promote your Golf Day and help bring your event to life. There’s posters, flyers, banners, invitations and certificates.
And don’t forget you can order RNLI bunting, bucket stickers and collection boxes to help brand your event. If you don't have a MyStore login, please get in touch with the Volunteer Experience Team to find out how best to place an order in your area.
Exmouth's Golf Day success
Supporters of Exmouth RNLI raised an amazing £3,355.66 with a Golf Day in Tiverton. The fundraiser was held at Tiverton Golf Club after their Veterans Captain for 2022, Dave Turner, selected the RNLI as the nominated charity for the year. The main event was held at the Captain’s Day in May, showing how you can also turn a regular event at your club into an RNLI Golf Day.
Dave Turner says; 'Our Club is always very pleased to support the RNLI and its volunteers at Exmouth. I am happy that we raised such a substantial donation and thank all those who helped and contributed.'
