In 2024, we will be celebrating 200 years of lifesaving. Through a series of events, activities, media coverage and more, we will be paying tribute to the RNLI’s remarkable history and people – and paving the way for our future.

What's happening across the RNLI?

The 200th Team have converted the ideas sent in by hundreds of RNLI volunteers into a programme of activity that spans all our nations and RNLI regions. All the activities planned for 2024 will commemorate our incredible past, celebrate the RNLI people of today, and inspire the next generation of lifesavers who will take our organisation forward into the next 200 years.

Please email the 200th Team at [email protected] if you have any questions or would like more information on the RNLI 200 activity.

What's happening near you?

RNLI 200 panels have been set up by volunteers across every RNLI region to develop a programme of activity, unique to the 200th year. These activities reflect the heritage, culture and traditions of every region. They also make the most of this unique opportunity to inspire the next generation of local lifesavers. For more information on RNLI 200 activity in the community, download the timeline and presentations.
