A starter activity for a longer water safety session, to get children thinking about some of the more hazardous things they could encounter at lakes, river, beaches or canals.
Tell me more
Picture cards can be used to show the different good and bad things they might come across. Other relevant items such as barnacles, dried seaweed, ice lolly sticks can be added to the beach bag for a sensory experience.
Encourages discussion of the different items and hazards, so they can learn how to prevent themselves being harmed.
