Senior Independent Trustee
Denis is a business advisor and non-executive chair and director. He was appointed as a Trustee of the RNLI in 2019, Senior Independent Trustee in 2022, and is Chair of the Audit and Risk Committee. Denis is also a senior ddvisor to several commercial organisations.
In 2018 Denis was awarded an MBE for services to Women and Equality in Her Majesty’s Birthday Honours and in 2023, he was awarded an OBE for services to Business and Equality in His Majesty Birthday Honours.
Until 2017, Denis was a partner and vice chairman of Deloitte LLP and held many leadership roles, including serving as a board member for 8 years and leading the south west and Wales regional practice for 11 years.
Until 2023, Denis co-chaired the LACA-lead the Change Board, a Government sponsored independent expert committee, which provides advice to the Government and helps champion a diverse and inclusive workplace culture across UK businesses. He was also a member of the Board of Governors at the University of the West of England, standing down in November 2020.
