Mark, appointed Chief Executive in May 2019, is a former naval officer and company director. A keen sailor, he was also Lifeboat Operations Manager at Salcombe Lifeboat Station for 2 years.

The Executive Team, led by the Chief Executive, are the RNLI’s senior managers. The Chief Executive is responsible to the Trustees for the day-to-day running of the RNLI and the execution of the strategy and policies decided by the Trustee Committee.
Chief Information Officer Claire joined the RNLI from BP where she had been the Global Procurement Director.

Jamie was appointed in September 2021, having held previous roles as Technical Director at Chessington World of Adventures and Director of Engineering and Logistics for the Commando Helicopter Force.

Jayne is returning to the RNLI after an 11-year break. When she first joined the RNLI she was Managing Director of the Sales Company before she took over as Head of Regional Fundraising.

John is a qualified Master Mariner and has worked for more than 30 years in the offshore oil and gas, marine and subsea sector.

Steven our Chief Finance Officer is a Graduate in Economics and a Chartered Accountant with 25 years experience working in both Finance and Commercial roles for many household brand names.
