Burts Snacks is supporting the RNLI through a new 2-year partnership. The Plymouth-based company is helping to fund and raise awareness of our lifesaving work, while sharing vital water safety advice with its customers.

Munch and learn

Through the partnership, Burts Snacks has created a special edition Prawn Cocktail flavour featuring a collaborative pack design with the RNLI. Showcasing a dramatic image of a lifeboat at sea, shot by photographer Clive Booth, the idea for the design was to include an iconic RNLI lifeboat – something that was conceived by our in-house creative team and voted on by staff and volunteers. Burts Snacks has now doubled its initial pledge and donated £20,000 to the RNLI following the success of the limited-edition Prawn Cocktail flavour that launched in May 2022.

In addition to the new flavour, Burts Lightly Sea Salted and Sea Salt and Malt Vinegar feature our float to live key messaging and links to the website where you can find out more about the RNLI and leave a charitable donation. When launched, these packs were supported by summer marketing campaign which helped boost sales and raise awareness of the RNLI.

The RNLI-branded Burts hand-cooked crisps are available in hundreds of pubs, bars, cafes, supermarkets such as ASDA, Morrisons, Tesco, and Co-op around the UK and Ireland, including all Costa Coffee shops and RNLI shops in the south-west of England.

Currently one of the UK’s fastest growing snack brands, Burts has grown 300% in the last 5 years, with a large share of sales taking place throughout the busy summer months. The company is incredibly proud of its Devonshire heritage and success on the south-west coast of England, which makes our partnership the perfect fit.
